His love for music has inspired him to do more than just write worship songs for the Lord. It allowed him to expand his activities and goals with a mission to help others as a follower of Christ.
Gospel Music Collaboration Success
The record label celebrated the successful 2004 debut release of the gospel-jazz album Ascension by its first signed artist, R&R, featuring Howard E. Riley, Jr. and
Terrence Richburg himself.
In 2007, their second major release featured recording artist Minister Terrell Hunt on his debut Praise and Worship album, entitled, Awesome. It received a nomination for the Stellar Award in 2009. Terrence Richburg dropped his popular Christmas EP single entitled, In One Night, under the RichEscape Music, LLC in the winter of 2010. It featured his wife, renowned songstress Kathy Richburg.
In January 2015, he reconnected with nationally acclaimed jazz Saxophonist and long-time friend, Phil French, to record and produce their first full CD album project together, Everlasting… featuring Terrence Richburg, released under his music label. Everlasting received rave reviews from national and international listening audiences as well as several acclaimed industry icons. It also received five 2016 Rhythm of Gospel Award nominations, a 30th Annual 2016 Washington Area Music Award (WAMMIE) nomination and was accepted for nomination in several categories for the 58th GRAMMY Awards.
With the prolific nature of his musical library, Terrence Richburg has been releasing more works as a response to God’s calling to get his music heard. He released an unprecedented three new CD albums simultaneously, including his gospel project, RichSpirit ONE, gospel-jazz project, Beyond Measure, and inspirational jazz/gospel R&B project, Portrait of Adoration in 2018. The latter two albums got considered in multiple albums and song award categories for the Recording Academy's 61st Grammy Awards, and Portrait of Adoration was a 2019 WAMMIE Awards Finalist as Best Jazz Album, currently featured on Smooth Jazz stations and charts globally. And now June 19, 2022 [Juneteenth] marked Terrence's most recent project release entitled Treasures, a 16-track album of original Christian jazz, gospel jazz, and inspirational/ P&W compositions with multi-genre arrangements that feature probably the most expansive array of vocal and instrumental recording work from Terrence to date. Treasures has garnered an overwhelming response from diverse listening audiences and rave reviews from a multitude of fans and industry icons within Christian, gospel, jazz and smooth jazz music communities alike. Several songs and singles from Treasures are featured on Smooth Jazz and Gospel radio stations worldwide, was accepted for nomination in multiple categories for the 65th GRAMMY Awards and is an award nomination finalist for the 2023 35th Annual WAMMIE Awards.
